Empowering Today's Youth

About Little Troopers in Oklahoma City

Little Troopers Learning Center is more than just a child care center, we are a home-away-from-home dedicated to ensuring children are given the best start in life.

We provide care and early education to children from infants to 12 years old. Our range of age-appropriate resources and activities promotes children’s personal and academic development and ensures kindergarten readiness!

Who We Are

Little Troopers Learning Center’s journey began in 2006 when Jaqueline Oliver and her husband, both veterans of the US Army with over 20 years of service, encountered a common challenge - finding exceptional and trustworthy child care for their own children. Fueled by their passion for providing high-quality care and early education, they started their in-home childcare center. Starting with a handful of children, their dedication and commitment to quality care soon blossomed. Today, Little Troopers proudly operate a learning center that encompasses the values and quality care they would want for their own children to those in the community.

We believe our individualized approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Infant Classrooms

6 weeks - 1 year old

We have carefully designed our infant classrooms with age-appropriate and stage-appropriate resources and equipment to facilitate healthy growth and development.

Some unique features of our infant classrooms are:

Our shoe-free environment

Our shoe-free policy is one of the first things you’ll notice about our infant classrooms. As soon as your infant is ready to start crawling and scooting around, it’s important to give them the freedom to explore. A shoe-free environment keeps their little hands and mouth safe from germs and dirt while they discover the world.

Keeping cribs free and clear

We keep cribs clear of items like pillows and toys and use a firm mattress with a tight-fitting sheet. Our cribs are personalized with your infant’s name and picture. Plus, they’re see-through so we can keep an eye on your little one.

Flexible feeding schedules to fit your infant's needs

Whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed, we’ll keep your infant fed, happy, and healthy. We have policies to carefully label and separate breast milk and formula. And you’re always welcome to stop in to breastfeed your baby!

Toddlers Classroom

1-2 Year Olds

We have carefully designed our infant classrooms with age-appropriate and stage-appropriate resources and equipment to facilitate healthy growth and development.

Some unique features of our infant classrooms are:

Kids eye level

Everything is kid-size! We put books and toys within easy reach of little hands. Instead of waiting for an adult to bring a book over, kids can kick off story time all on their own.

Photos and Labels

Photos and visual cues are everywhere. We always hang pictures of our children’s families to help build our sense of community. Labels - especially visual ones - help your toddler navigate the room and the day safely and confidently.

Preschool Room

3-5 Year Olds

We have carefully designed our preschool classrooms with age-appropriate and stage-appropriate resources and equipment to help prepare children for school.

Some unique features of our preschool classrooms are:

Open-ended questions

As your preschooler moves through their day, they’ll hear a lot of open-ended questions. For example, instead of saying, “Paint your flower petals with red and yellow,” we might ask, “What color would you paint your flower?” It’s a small change that makes a big difference in building your child’s confidence.

Preschoolers play their way

For much of the day, kids create, play, pretend, and express themselves their way! This kind of independent play builds critical thinking skills, self-reliance, and confidence for life.
